1954 Press Photo Pair of Elephants on the Crowd of Milwaukee Zoo

Photo shows crowd welcomes pair of baby elephants at the Milwaukee Zoo on arrival from long trip from Savannah, where the two were purchased. Indian elephants were purchased to replace one that died at the zoo.
