1947 Press Photo Patrolman Henry Mach Leave his 4-month-old Son

Patrolman Henry Mach attempting to arrest a molester was shot 3 times and died, leaving 4-month-old son, Edward, and 21-year-old widow, Martha. Mach identified Reese Lawson, 47, as the man who shot him.
