1955 Press Photo French Defense Minister General Pierre Billotte French Morocco

Billotte, shown in recent photo from Paris, arrived in Morocco for a first-hand look at the fighting between French troops and rebellious Berber tribesmen. It is the hope of Premier Edgar Fanre, whose Moroccan policy now is being debated in the National Assembly, that Bilotte also may succeed in straightening the colonial governmental tangle before the colonial question actually comes to a vote in the Assembly.
