1957 Press Photo Scalise Charged of Tampering of Uranium Slugs

Photo shows the 45-year-old Uranium worker Santo Scalise (C), and his wife talk to Deputy United States Marshal George Reese at Federal Court before Scalise's arraignment on charges that he deliberately tampered with uranium slugs in a manner that could have caused a "terrific nuclear explosion." Scalise is charged with deliberately belting uranium slugs at the Sylavania-Corning Nuclear Corporation.
