1958 Press Photo Laddermen to the Rescue

Photo shows the ladderman William Linnane (on ladder) takes Mrs. Annie Bolton, 54, from ladderman Charles Jacobson, assisted by Charles Baldner as a three-alarm fire swept through as apartment house. Fireman rescued two women over ladders and carried six adults and four children over stairs to safety as flames roared through the building.
