1937 Press Photo Ohio River Flood Waters at Riverside Power Plant Louisville

The plant has been rendered inoperable due to the flood. General evacuation of the Mississippi Valley from Cairo, Illinois, to New Orleans, Louisiana, has been ordered as the greatest flood in history rolled southward to the Gulf of Mexico.
