1953 Press Photo Four-year-old Girl Saved the Four-year-old Boy

Photo shows Martin Steimel poses with Pamela Tousignann, who rescued him. The 4-year-old boy was saved by the 4-year-old girl after he fell head-first into a storm sewer while dipping water for mud-pie manufacturing. Pamela grabbed Martin, who was submerged head and shoulders in the water, by the heels--holding on hollering until help arrived.
