1955 Press Photo Monkeys Used for the Polio Vaccine

Photo shows the new arrivals at the Okatie Farms. They flee to a corner of their cage as an attendant puts a tray of food in the compartment. Their special diet includes a vitamin supplement to help build them up. All monkeys used for the Polio Vaccine must pass through this conditioning farm in South Carolina.
