1949 Press Photo Firemen are shown testing a new fire resisting gas tank for

airplanes. The demonstration conducted by the Navy and B.F. Goodrich and Co. shows the left wing that was treated with the special coating was not injured by the intense heat while the right wing that had nocoating burst in to flames.
