Description
Photo shows the former Government Attorney, Ewart Harris (R) testified before the Senate Monopoly Subcommittee, investigating General Motors, giant industrial empire, that Dupont interests paid $25,000,000 in 1918 for about one-fourth interest in G.M. in order to acquire a sure market for paints, varnishes and other Dupont products. Sen. Joseph C. O'Mahoney (L), Comm. Chairman, charged that investments of Dupont and other explosive manufacturers in G.M. Corporation showed a lack of competition in the explosive industry.
