1959 Press Photo Charles Hitchcok Johnston and His Gun Collection

A 44-year-old Charles Hitchcok Johnston, stands before his gun collection as he tells of an offer from Pasadene Engineer, Arthur Herbert Smith in which Smith allegedly offered him $2,000 to kill New Mexico-man for steeling the affection of his girl friend. Johnston, self styled soldier of fortune, said Smith answered a newspaper ad in which Johnston said he would accept and perform any dangerous mission.
