1945 Press Photo Girl Gets A Letter From Churchill

An 11-year-old from Belleville, Illinois, Dolores Gore sent a combination Happy Birthday and Good Luck Card to Prime Minister Winston Churchill, telling him that November 30th was her birthday. Turning his attention from the war for a moment, the British leader sent a thank you message to the little girl. Dolores reads the typewritten reply which reads: "Thank you so much for your kind remembrance of my birthday."
