1943 Press Photo Julie Caba Rrocas Treated For Shark Bite After Ship Torpedoed

Description
Rrocas' Freighter was named "Libertidad." He clung to a splintered hatch cover for 36 hours before being rescued by a Navy ship. The photo shows him being treated by P/Mate 2nd Class C.H. Britt of Raleigh, North Carolina, along with Rufino Nadal and Melchur de Leon, who also survived the Libertidad sinking. 10 other men drowned.

Photo is dated 1943.
