Mrs. Fay Reder faced a charge of "beating" a sackett Lake Hotel bill of a mere $1.50. Mrs. Reder appeared before magistrate Arthur C. Kyle, Jr., at Monticello. To win a withdrawal of the charge by the hotel, a public apology and the sum of $100 for her "anguish" and counsel fees.
