Description
A Russian surgical stapling machine, used to "tie off" major blood vessels of the heart and lungs, and to stitch up sections of the heard during delicate operations. Presented to Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn by the Soviet Institute of Chest Surgery. Displaying the stapler is Barbara Levine. of the Brooklyn College Division of Nursing Science.
