1959 Press Photo Dearborn Police Catch Robbers Robert Switaj William J Verrette

Dearborn, Michigan - Identified by police as the "three-minute" bandits that have taken $30,000 in five robberies in Detroit area, Robert E. Switaj, 35, (left) and William J. Verrette, 36, are shown at Dearborn police headquarters. They were captured after taking $8,000 from the Bank of Dearborn minutes earlier. A dozen shots were fired in the chase which ended when the bandits' stolen car crashed into a pole.
