1933 Press Photo Lillian Gales at Auction Sale of John Lelko Farm in Red Hill

Miss Gales, 24, of Perkasie, Pennsylvania denounced the relief policies of Governor Piinchot of Pennsylvania and urged the abolition of the State Police during the sale of the farm. Four previous attempts to auction the farm having failed, seventy armed deputies were brought in at the fifth attempt to keep threatening neighboring farmers at a distance during the sale.
