1955 Press Photo Eugene Jail Escapees Steal H H Littlefield Family Car Oregon

Corvallis, Oregon - Family of H.H. Littlefield, Medford, Oregon were stopped by the escapees and locked in stolen sheriff's car, while escapees fled in their automobile. Escapee Jose DeMess was recaptured while the other, Martin Reyes, 23, is sought by police after critically wounded James R. Applegate, 39, of Corvallis.
