1940 Press Photo An accident left the top of a pole to be supported by the wires

The auto (foreground) clipped the lower section of the pole. Leaving the upper section of the pole resting on a heavy cable and was held upright by wires at the top. The two people in the car at the of the accident were taken to the hospital. The accident happened on Lido Blvd.
