Credit - United Press and NEA Washington - Killingsworth was appointed by President Truman to succeed Archibald Cox as chairman of the Wage Stabilization Board. Cox. resigned with an angry blast at the White House ruling which granted the coal miners a $1.90 daily wage increase.
