Credit - ACME and NEA The story of a thrilling three-day rescue at sea came to a close in New York when members of the crew and captain of the Lloyd Royal Belge ship, Jean Jadot, were presented with medals for their part in the rescue of members of the crew of the ship Usworth, 800 miles off Newfoundland. Photo shows Herbert L. Saterlee, President of the life-saving Benevolent Association of New York, congratulating Captain S. Gonthier of the Jean Jadot, after having presented him with a gold medal on behalf of the organization of which he is the head. Saterlee is on the left.
