1947 Press Photo Louis F. Budenz, Editor, Testifies in Gerhard Eisler Spy Case

Credit - ACME and NEA In Washington, D.C., Louis Budenz, former editor of the Daily Worker, linked Gerhard Eisler directly with one of the principals in the recent Canadian spy case, in his testimony before the House UnAmerican Activities Committee hearing. Budenz testified that Eisler was frequently visited by a Samuel Carr, or Kogan, now a fugitive from justice in connection with the Canadian spy trials.
