Athens, Greece - Large stones placed on the street car tracks in Athens by strikers during the recent walkout of railway employees in Athens seeking an eight hour day. Not only did the heavy stones bring about a halt of the street car service, but it also brought about serious clashes between the police and the strikers when the former tried to clear the tracks.
