When Gloria Vanderbilt was 10, her mother and aunt fought in court for her custody, and her money. It was one of the sensations of the 1930's and left Gloria tagged "the poor little rich girl." Twenty-five years have passed since, and now Gloria's own two sons, Chris, 7, and Stan, 9, are the center of pulling and grabbing by their parents. The boys are sons of her second husband, conductor Leopold Stokowski. Attorneys will appear in court May 19 to argue Stokowski's motion that he have custody six months a year instead of the present five and that the court revoke the edict that he cannot take the boys out of New York without their mother's okay. Gloria's counter suit seeks complete custody with Stokowski seeing them only two weeks a year. Gloria is shown in file photos dated Mary 24, 1935 and August 27, 1956.
