Exploring the last stronghold of the cannibal and headhunter - a view of the interior of Papua New Guinea, recently explored by the American Museum of National History expedition headed by Richard Archbold, showing an view, from two hundred meters up, of the River. The picture was taken while on flight over an area never mapped before.

Photo is dated 1937.
