1950 Press Photo Aerial view Horseshoe Cataract, Canadian Side of Niagara Falls

This is one of the rare, clear views of the Horseshoe cataract on the Canadian side of famed Niagara Falls. The picture was taken from a helicopter under unusual atmospheric conditions. The mist ordinarily generated by the falling water was practically negligible. Another helicopter, an air force H-12 type, was also in view over the falls.
