Guide-James A. Michener, Pulitzer Prize-winning author (for "Tales of South Pacific"), will be guide, narrator and writer for "Assignment: Southeast Asia," which NBC-TV will begin filming on location in color late this Summer. An authority on the South Pacific and Asia, Michener will accompany the NBC task force to Indonesia, Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries. The 90-minute program will be colorcast during the coming season.
