Chattanooga's Rock City plans birthday party--As part of the celebration of East Tennessee Spring Festival Week, May 17-24, Rock City Gardens on Lookout Mountain will celebrate the 21st Anniversary of its founding on May 21. Open House in the Gardens is being planned to celebrate the day, and a giant birthday party will be held at the Fairyland Country Club for the nation's travel editors. For many generations this beautiful spot on the eastern brow of Lookout Mountain has attracted thousands of visitors and, since it was formally developed 21 years ago into the beautiful Rock City Gardens by Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Carter of Chattanooga, literally millions have enjoyed the wonders of the Lookout Mountain country.
