1966 Press Photo Frank Mankiewicz describes Sen. RF Kennedy's condition

Frank Mankiewicz, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy's press secretary, tells a news conference outside Good Samaritan hospital in Los Angeles today that Kennedy emerged from three hours of surgery in "extremely critical condition." All but one fragment of a bullet in Kennedy's head was removed by a team of surgeons.
