Description
A Russian inventor dropped his fishing line overboard from the amphibious automobile he designed. Grigori Khokhlov demonstrated the vehicle at Novosibirsk. He claims that the car, which has four wheel drive and a propeller, will travel over the rough roads in Siberia and navigate on water with equal ease. Khokhlov says the car has a top land speed of about 65 miles an hour and can travel about 10 miles an hour in the water.

Photo is dated 1962.
