Fed by Andean snows, the Sala del Laga waterfalls tumble over a rock rim and into a deep gorge on their way to the Pacific ocean. The falls are 131 feet high and are situated 22 miles from the city of Los Angeles, Chile. They are among a number the Chilean government is planning to harness for a great hydroelectric program.
