WNET/13's Robert MacNeil (left) co-anchors with the BBC's Robert McKenzie "live" coverage of the May 22, 1776 Parliamentary debate on the American Revolution -- the last debate before the Declaration of Independence. Goodbye America, a 90-minute dramatization, co-produced by WNET/13, New York, and the British Broadcasting Corporation, will be distributed nationally by the Public Broadcasting Service to its member stations,Saturday, July 3, 1976, 9:00 P.M. ET (Check local listings). Using the modern techniques of electronic journalism, reports will come the parliamentary debate, and provides analysis, interviews and film reports on the events of 1776 from both Europe and American, On the right, General Henry Conway (actor Douglas Wilmer), Member of Parliament, leads the debate in favor of the Americans.As chief of staff, eh feels war would be morally wrong as well as a military disaster.
