Palmdale CA: US Air Force: Planes: Bombers: Jets: The Air Force's new B-1 bomber undergoes a series of low speed taxi tests which demonstrate capabilities of the plane's wheels, tires, brakes and ground steering systems. The completed tests indicated that systems of the new bomber constructed by Rockwell International performed up to expectations as final preparation continue for the first flight, scheduled later this month.
