Description
This is the first of 129 twin engine , turbine powered, Beechcraft utility planes bought by the army for a total cost of $25 million. The Beech Aircraft Corp. U-21A will carry 10 combat troops and has a crew of two. It also can be used as an air evacuation ambulance or cargo carrier. The range is almost 1,250 miles and it can carry 2,000 pounds at a cruising speed of more than 200 miles an hour. U.S. Air Force - Planes - Cargo & Transport
