1957 Press Photo British Missile with Booster Rockets, in Test Flight

Four booster rockets provided the power for the take-off of this British missile which was tested at an undisclosed spot in England. After the missile attained a high speed, the boosters fell away and the motor of the craft took over to drive it farther into the sky. The missile is used to test equipment for high speed flights.
