Powered with four twin booster rockets, the weapon takes off with a whoosh and quickly reaches top speed. Then it sheds its auxiliary boosters (right), which sheer off in a four cornered burst of smoke and flame. The pictures were taken at recent firing trials in Britain. The rocket will be sent next to the Woomera range in Australia for extensive tests with explosive warheads. England, guided missiles.
