Calcutta Imperiled By New Japanese Landing - Calcutta, India: a View of Dalhousie Square, in Calcutta, Indian City, which is only 350 miles across the Bay of Bengal, from the Burmese port of Akyab, where, it was announced April 2nd, thousands of Japanese troops have landed. Within easy air access of the new Japanese bridgehead, Calcutta will in all probability, be the target of extensive aerial bombardment by the Japanese, in the near future.
