At midnight Sunday, The Menominee Indian reservation will become Wisconsin's 72nd county and the tribe will become the first in nation to be released from federal control. The mainstay of the tribe's economy is the sawmill. At present the lumber market is in a slump and more than 20 million board feet are stacked in the yard. The reservation is also noted for its trout streams. Gene Frechette, of Wausau, displayed his catch. (Indians - Menominee)
