1959 Press Photo runner Charlie Jenkins wins at Milwaukee Journal meet, Arena

Milwaukee Journal - Track meet - 1959 - Straining to set a record, Charlie Jenkins finished the 600 yard run in the Arena Monday night in 1 minute 11.6 seconds. Jenkins, who wore a Villanova university shirt, ran for the New York Pioneer Club. He set a meet record in the Milwaukee Journal's eighth annual indoor track games. Close on his heels were Willie Atterberry, East Lansing, Michigan, unattached, and Josh Culbreath, New York Pioneer club. Timers and judges stood on both sides of the track at the finish of the second section of the run.
