An overnight encampment for the Bicentennial Wagon Train near West Salem (La Crosse County) gave the wagoneers a chance to work on the equipment. As a man cleaned the hoofs of one of his horses (above). (U.S. - Bicentennial - Milwaukee and Wisconsin)
