Milwaukee Wisconsin: US Post Office: Mailmen: Milwaukee's 507 mail carriers toted around with them Tuesday 2,535 fewer pounds than they had for the last several months. They changed into their three pound summer uniforms Tuesday and stowed their eight pound winter outfits away in mothballs. Fred Kendrick, assistant superintendent of mails in charge of delivery and Charles Burmeister, foreman of carriers (on the right) are shown here inspecting some of the 93 carriers working out of the main post office.
