Ponies, Chico, left, and Madai got a workout this week at the North River Road home of Dr. and Mrs. George Shaner. The animals, just two of the many on the "farm," will be the attraction Saturday when the Shaners hold their second annual "Smith Day in the Country." Mrs. Shaner watches her two sporty daughters, Katy, and Rolly. Proceeds of the event will be used to augment the scholarship fund of the Smith Club of Wisconsin. Local alumnae and their children are making arrangements for the event which will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Although it will be a day of fun for all ages, the committee members have planned games and amusements for the kiddies.
