Explorer Dies-Mrs. Josephine D. Peary, 92, widow of Admiral Peary who discovered in North Pole in 1909, died today in Portland, Maine. Mrs. Peary, an Arctic explorer in her own right, had been confined to her apartment since she broke her hip in January 1954. Admiral Robert W. Peary gave her much credit for the success of his arctic expeditions. she accompanied her husband on several trips.
