Four of the middle western governors who reported the turbulent conditions in their states to President Roosevelt are shown here leaving the White House. Price fixing for the principal farm commodities was one of the demands they made to the president. From left to right are Secretary of Agriculture Wallace, Governor Berry of South Dakota, Governor Langer of North Dakota, Governor Olsen of Minnesota, Governor Schmedeman of Wisconsin, and George M. Peek, farm administrator. Governor Herring of Iowa also attended the conference.
