1981 Press Photo Jane L. Stillman holding donated cane in Waukesha County Museum

Decorative Canes - Jane Love Stillman held one of the longer walking canes from her collection of rare 19th-century glass canes that she has donated to the Waukesha County Museum. Stillman, 73, said multicolored canes were sometimes used in colonial times to ward off evil spirits.
