Description

A scraggly likeness of the Milwaukee County Zoo's famed gorilla, Samson, was on hand Monday at the Plankinton House to present the "Tourism Man of the Year" plaque for 1973 to Zoo Director George Speidel (center). The award was made by the Milwaukee Convention & Visitors Bureau at its annual luncheon. Holding the plaque was Alderman Robert Ertl.
