1984 Press Photo Professor Jey Jeyapalan & Ernest Hanna run tests in Wisconsin

Professor Jey K. Jeyapalan (top) and Ernest Hanna, research assistant, were involved in a test of unsaturated soils used in containment facilities for hazardous wastes. They were making the tests at the new Wisconsin Hazardous Waste Management Center at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. The center has been established in the College of Engineering to coordinate and administer interdisciplinary research on disposal, management, and characteristics of hazardous wastes and their effects on the environment Jeyapalan is the center's director.
