During her five-year marriage to Dick Parry, longtime Pink Floyd saxophone player, Karen Sussman kept her experiences with one of rock's most successful bands pretty much to herself. But the release of the new LP stirred up memories that were never laid to rest anyway. So Sussman decided to talk about the experiences she had while accompanying the group on its worldwide 1977 tour, backing the "Animals" album; the months she lived with band leader Roger Waters and his family; and her seven-year involvement with Parry (they're now estranged).
