This new $1 million powder-paint system at Simplicity Manufacturing Inc., will provide a more durable paint finish with much less waste byproduct. "Powder paint will become the industry standard," said Warner Frazier, chairman of the Port Washington-based manufacturer of lawn-and-garden equipment. The new system, which applies paint electrostatically, uses less energy and material, Frazier said.
