In 1984 the long and narrow warehouse James Davidson and Monica Shah (Davidson's office) call home was among the 71 Third Ward buildings accepted for the National Register of Historic Places. The 20-by-80-foot brick building was constructed in 1911 and used for commercial storage, hobbies and crafts business, tavern and factory. Michael Guest, Elm Grove, bough the building in 1988. The rehabbed building has a business on the first floor and apartments on the second, third and fourth floors. Peter Renner of Renner Architects designed the units. Third Ward.
